In this Level I Integrative Reflexology™ Certification course you will learn the basic techniques of foot reflexology through the Four Theory approach. The whole hand technique that is taught makes it gentle to give and receive this work. This technique can be applied as a complete treatment or as a palliative enhancement for massage therapists and other health care providers. The Four Theories include: Structural Alignment Theory, Zone Theory, Meridian Theory, and Psychoneuroimmunology Theory.
In this class you will learn: An Integrative Reflexology™ approach to seeing the body in a whole way, factors that contribute to health and balance for yourself and your clients, cautions and contraindications for reflexology, proper body alignment and structural alignment exercises, anatomy of the lower leg and foot, as they pertain to reflexology, and identification and manipulation of specific reflex points.

This course is a review of curriculum presented in the Survey Level, Introduction to Integrative Reflexology™, HANL Level, PTSD and Anxiety Level, Hand Reflexology, and Foundations for Plantar Fasciitis. We will review anatomy as it refers to reflexology, techniques and protocols for each specific level of instruction, and perform practice sessions for specific techniques. A review of intake procedures, SOAP notes, ethics, and scope of practice will also be reviewed. When students have completed all seven levels of instruction they are encouraged to apply for testing and certification by the American Reflexology Certification Board (ARCB) and to become professional members of the Reflexology Association of America (RAA) and the Iowa state association, the Reflexology Association of Iowa (RAIA). PREREQUISITE: Each student must have completed the previous six levels of instruction hours and have completed and had their 200 hours of practicum sessions accepted to register for this review class.
