My name is Joe Stibolt LMT. I was a student at Institute of Therapeutic Massage(ITMW). I graduated in 2007. I have been practicing for about 7 years going on 8. I moved to Indiana in 2013. I had gotten a job with Massage Envy in November and in my first 3 weeks working with clients I had clients ask me where I went to school. I told them I went to school in Iowa at ITMW. There response to me was: “I have had a lot of massages here in Indiana at multiple Massage Envy and your way of massaging is different from any other person I’ve had. This is the best massage I have ever had.”
I have had clients refer to me as Joe from Iowa when getting referrals from other clients. I have gotten referrals from towns that are 30 minutes away. I have the fastest growing client base out of our 4 locations we have 68 therapists on staff out of our 4 locations and I got therapist of the year in my first year working for Massage Envy. I thank you Dr. Dan and Bonitia for opening the school and for giving me a chance to do what I love doing. Thanks for “Putting a career in my hands”. I also would like to thank Tom and the rest of my teachers for their time with me on my one on one time. When I went to sign up for massage school my parents where a little skeptical about me becoming a massage therapist, but now they have seen how successful I have become after 7 years at it they are very proud of me. It took a lot of hard work, time and money, but I never gave up on helping people to feel better and make improvements in their lives. Massage therapy is going to be the next PT. Some of my clients call me the PT OF MT because of the results they get from my learning that I have gotten from ITMW, I still go back to basics from school to help others.
